The Royal Oak at Bovingdon Green, near Hemel Hempstead has been recently purchased and extensively refurbished by new owners, Rob and Sel Dawson and their team. The pub focuses heavily on sourcing produce from local suppliers - as well as the standard fare, this also includes its milk, any 'game' from a local shoot and its logs for the two open fires!
Simply put, the Royal Oak is a forward thinking 'Country Pub' which is both family and dog friendly. There is an excellent wine list, featuring something for every occasion and always two real ales available, expertly prepared for service by the CAMRA accredited team.
The pub sits on a large plot of land, just a short distance from Bovingdon High Street and has ample parking both at the front and rear of the premises. In addition, there are both a seated garden area and a family area, in which you can while away those long spring, summer and early autumn days. Come the winter, the log fires are constantly attended, and ensure that what ever your motivation for visiting, you will be guaranteed a warm welcome.
